February 26, 2007 I present to you: HanGhoul! It is a Web game for learning Korean vocabulary. If you want to try it out, you will need Java and a Korean font—see the Setup page for more info. You can use the cheat code "han" to get through the stages (but your score will be 0 at the end). February 6, 2007 I'm happy to announce the release date of a new song that I worked on with the artist antoni. The new song is called SUBMERSIBLE and will be available to listen to at www.myspace.com/fossilmusicinformation starting on February 11, 2007. Check antoni's myspace (www.myspace.com/antonimusic) for lyrics and info about the song. SUBMERSIBLE is part of the "Oni B-Side Series", a special mini-album to precede antoni's forthcoming debut album "Oni". My musical collaboration with antoni began nearly two years ago, and there may be more to come in the not-too-distant future. Also, I'm sad to report a death—my favorite headphones, a pair of Grado SR60s, are no more. The left headphone stopped working late last month. I've had them for over 8 years and I had grown to love their sound. Why is this important? Well, I had been mixing all my music with my old headphones, and although I have a replacement pair of SR60s, they don't sound quite the same. Maybe the new ones will sound more like my old ones over time, but for now the music I post may sound a bit different since I'll have to adjust my mixing. January 16, 2007 Finished one new track; it's another older one. I'll have another project ready soon--an educational Web game. Exciting, I know! November 16, 2006 Here are three new tracks. If the first two sound a bit like videogame music, it's because I started them as songs for a computer game I was working on for a class at Georgia Tech (the game ended up having no music). They have both changed quite a bit since then though. I began Ninth Ring back in 2001; in fact, all three are tracks I forgot about and then rediscovered this year. Enjoy! November 8, 2006 The machinima is done: check it out here. This time I would strongly recommend the high quality version if you have a fast connection. With the HQ version of June, I captured the scenes from HL2 at the same resolution as the video (640 x 480) so things looked a little pixelated in places; plus I tried to keep the bitrate low to keep the size down. With Julia, I captured at 800 x 600 and left the bitrate pretty high: it was always going to be over 200 megs, so I figured adding an extra 10 or 15 megs to get a near-perfect picture wouldn't be too much trouble for people who were willing to get it in the first place. Extending the song turned out to be fairly difficult. I added two sections: after doing the first section and then the second, I listened to the first again and thought it didn't sound right at all. I spent about two days trying to splice a replacement back into the song, but then that ended up sounding even worse when watching the video. I went back to the original section, making a few small changes, and ultimately I'm pretty satisfied with it. Well, I hope you enjoy it. I will be posting some more music very soon, as I have two tracks that have been effectively done for a while. October 27, 2006 Can't believe it: another month gone by. I had some unexpected things arise this month which cut into my work time on the machinima, including a death in the family. So I'm not sure if I'll finish it by November 1st exactly, but it shouldn't take much longer. I am indeed deep in the editing phase and unfortunately I need to lengthen the song I'm using; I was hoping not to have to do that, but apparently my sense of timing was way off. Anyway, very close now! September 27, 2006 OK, this might not come as a surprise but I won't be finishing the machinima this month. Sorry! I think it has gotten a bit out of hand. I'm just shooting the last scenes and then I will have some significant editing to do. It will be done next month for sure. Part of the problem is that I started yet another project a couple weeks ago, out of the blue really. I'm going to try to finish that next month as well. Until then! September 2, 2006 About time for an update I think! Still working on my next machinima--it's sad really, but I've learned a lot. I plan to finish it this month. I would like to do more which is why I added the machinima page. After releasing the video I'll post some more tracks that are nearly done. After that ... we'll see--maybe something new once again. May 28, 2006 The move from animara.net to animara.com is almost complete. If you notice any problems please let me know. I should have some new things to put up in the near future, including a followup to June, but I'm not sure in what order I will happen to finish them. February 14, 2006 For some reason, I felt like finishing off this track this weekend. It's another older one, called Bubble Cascade. I have started working on another music video, but don't hold your breath--it will take me a while. December 26, 2005 Something new is here, but it's not music this time. It's a music video called "June" that I've been working on for the past few months. Check it out here. August 24, 2005 Added two new tracks. Circuit Brood is a strange one; I started it a couple years ago. As for Light Slanting Home, it's a simple little sentimental song, and I certainly hope all you sentimental folks out there are going to enjoy it. (Ready fellas? Let's go...) July 12, 2005 Hello everyone! Today I'm artist of the day over at strangely-familiar (thanks Jeff!). I have been working feverishly on a remix for someone but after that's done I will finally be posting more songs (no really). Until next time... March 11, 2005 My Army of Me remix was not chosen for the Army of Me-xes charity CD, so I've put it up on the remixes page. Still working on more original songs... January 20, 2005 Could it be? Yes, a new Björk remix! I did it all with voice samples, mostly from Medúlla. I hope you like it. November 1, 2004 I've been really busy lately, both with music and other things, but I haven't been able to finish off any new tracks. I hope to be able to upload a lot of new stuff sometime soon. Also, if you're in the U.S., go vote! August 27, 2004 Added a new track, Iridium, in the remix section. July 23, 2004 Added a new track, Rose Transistor. Changed up the forum a bit. July 12, 2004 Added a new track, Burst Ventricle. May 27, 2004 Added a new track, Ganymede. May 16, 2004 Added a new track, Wires Murmur Underground. April 9, 2004 Added a new track, Overhead Cables Humming. March 29, 2004 Added a new track, a remix of Blue Jay, a song by aprojectmostawkward. March 1, 2004 Updated the Recommended section; more music on the way. February 1, 2004 Updated the Recommended section and added a new track, Ten-Foot Fuse. January 22, 2004 Added a new track, Neurasthenic, to the Music section. MP3s are now 192 kbps. Also updated the Björk Remixes page with a comment system. January 1, 2004 Updated the Recommended section. Happy New Year! December 18, 2003 Welcome to the new Feisar site! I finally finished some of my original tracks--you can download them below. I plan to finish and put up one or two a month (I've got quite a backlog), but we'll see how that works out. Please feel free to post in the forum as it's rather empty right now. If you'd like to e-mail me, my address is feisar @ animara dot com [updated]. Enjoy! |
